The Fort Lauderdale Sharks claimed sole possession of first place in the American Basketball League Saturday night by defeating their arch rival, Pompano Beach Cobras, 112-87.
This marks the Sharks fourth win in a row with two weeks remaining in the regular season.
Fort Lauderdale pressured the the Pompano Beach Cobras into many turnovers and increased their lead each quarter throughout the entire game. Davorn Bryant had his biggest scoring output of the season by scoring 22 points to lead the way for the surging Fort Lauderdale Sharks. Calvin Joy chipped in with 19 points and former Florida International University standout, Martavis Kee, tallied 18 points.
The Pompano Beach Cobra's were once again led by Sergio Crowe who scored a game high 26 points and teammate D'Angelo Harris added 13 points in a losing effort.
