The Salvation Army Partners with Palm Beach HurricaneUpdated Monday July 7, 2014 by American Basketball League.
The Salvation Army in conjunction with the ABL will partner with the Palm Beach Hurricane of the ABL to provide free youth camps for underpriviledged youths of Palm Beach County.
"This is one of our missions of the American Basketball League, to provide children who may not have the opportunity to attend basketball camps or professional basketball games the chance to do so with the assistance of the ABL and its players," stated ABL commissioner Eric Newsome. "We feel that there is more to just being able to play basketball, but to be able to put something back into the local community by reaching out to the youth and working with and guiding them along the right path by way of mentoring".
The Palm Beach Hurricane will host the The Salavation Army camp youths at their remaing 5 home games of the season beginning Thursday, July 10th, 2014 with game time set for 7 pm at Lake Worth Christian High School.
