Joining the ABL

Updated Friday July 31, 2015 by American Basketball League.

To be eligible to be drafted in to the American Basketball League, a potential prospect must attend at least one (1) ABL Sanctioned Draft Camp to become draft eligible.

Once such participation is confirmed, draft eligbility is established.  A common questions is often asked, "how can I tryout for an ABL team.".  As each ABL franchise is independently owned and operated, the best way to pursue a professional basketball opportunity with an ABL franchise is to reach out to the respective ABL franchise General Manager and inquire as to future tryout camps, or an individual workout.

If there any questions with respects to the manner in which to either become draft eligible, or joing a player pool of free agents to tryout for an ABL team, please do not hesitate to contact ABL Commissioner Eric Newsome -
